Tonight at a training meeting for our Bishops, President Kim Henrie (Married to Bill's Sister) of the California San Fernando Mission, in attendance informed me that Bill passed away a few months ago. Apparent cause was a Heart Attack. He had resided in Arizona. President Henrie did not have information on a Memorial Service held; but stated his cremated ashes were entered into the Pacific Ocean in the San Diego Area where he grew up.
Michael thanks for sharing this update on Bill Jr.. I loved working with Bill in Mapleton, Alberta in 1976. I had a chance to reconnect with Bill Jr. through his father "Billy Sr." at the "Master Golf Tournament, Augusta, GA in 2001. I would love to find Bill Jr.'s obituary. I went looking and couldn't find it. His father "Billy Sr" died just a year or two ago here in Utah. Now Bill and his Dad can be reunited. Dave Jensen
Sad news for sure... I enjoyed being friends with him. Many a fun P-days in north Calgary on the Bow Valley chapel fields or in the gym. Then lunch provided by Elder Tonga for all of us. Fried rabbit right off the reservation...
I saw Bill at the Masters in the mid 90's, bill St, took me inside the ropes at the club house. Bill was a very good missionary and was dedicated to sharing the Gospel, so sorry to hear of his passing.
I am so sad to hear of Bill's passing. We were together in his first area, the Parkland Ward in Calgary. We both loved golf and spent most every P day on the golf course. We talked a lot and worked together to spread the joy of the Gospel!! I'm sad that we lost both Billy Jr and Billy Senior but happy they are together now. I was able to spend some time with Billy Senior at BYU Cougar Day Golf each year for several years. It was fun to get to know him through Bill Jr and our relationship as missionary's together. I love them both and will miss them. May Our Father in Heaven bless the Casper family.
