David Wayne Bird was tragically taken January 23, 2004 in a work related accident. He was born July 27, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Franklin Dee and Dorothy Horrocks Bird. Dave graduated from Kearns High School and served an LDS mission in Calgary, Canada where he learned a love for the gospel. He married Colleen Clark September 13, 1979 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for time and all eternity. His greatest love was being with his sons, watching and playing ball with them, taking them hunting and fishing, as well as spending time at dinner and going to the movies. The Bird family loved to travel and take special vacations. Survived by his wife, Colleen; three sons, Brooks, Brett, and Skylar, whom he loved with all his heart; mother, Dorothy Bird; two brothers, Ralph (Shelly) and Neal (Karen); along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Frank. Funeral services were held January 28, 2004 at the West Point Ward. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
