Carolea Duncan (Anderberg)

Carolea died on September 24, 2021.  She passed away quietly and peacefully after breakfast.  She had decided to lay on the couch with her husband Karl next to her.  Carolea was was 5 feet 2 inches tall and her husband 6 feet 5 inches tall.  She and Karl both had strong testimonies and both served missions earlier in their lives.  Karl passed away a few months later, some say because of sadness.  There was no obituary for Sister Carolea Duncan Anderberg.  We remember her as an energetic, excited, and beautiful missionary.

I remember being her District leader. It was interesting having a relative in the district. Hard working and inspiring. She displayed the energy and spirituality that was likely partly inherited from Homer Duncan, cousin to my Ancestor, Delamore, who Homer baptized in the St George Temple in 1859. Homer crossed the plains 21 times, was in the Nauvoo Legion and saw Brigham Young's transformation. Sister Duncan was just as inspiring. This Protestant boy, who joined the Church at 19, was inspired by her. I did not learn about Homer until decades later, but I better understood Sister Duncan after that. Thank you Sister Duncan for helping me be a better missionary!

This was in deed sad news for me. I was surprised that it happend over a year ago. I am glad someone found this news and posted it for us. Sister Duncan was my 3rd companion and I have so many good memories of our time together. She came to my wedding in the St. George Temple about 8 months pregnant. She was a gaint in my eyes, only about 2 inchs taller than my physically but so spiritual and a very hard worker. I love her and was grateful for the time we had together.
